The Bihar State Water and Sanitation Mission is the supreme body for implementation of Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Programme in the State. This is a registered society under society act 1958. The Committee has been constituted under the Chairmanship of Development Commissioner, Government of Bihar.
There are two State level committee namely Apex Committee & Executive Committee.
1. Apex Committee
(i) |
Development Commissioner, Government of Bihar - Chairman |
(ii) |
Principal Secretary / Secretary, PHED, Government of Bihar - Member Secretary |
(iii) |
Principal Secretary/Secretary of the other department will either Member of the Committee. |
2. Executive Committee
(i) |
Principal Secretary/Secretary, PHED, Government of Bihar - Chairman |
(ii) |
Engineer in Chief cum Special Secretary/Chief Engineer, PHED, Government of Bihar - Member Secretary |
(iii) |
Joint Secretary/Deputy Secretary level officer of the other department will be the Member of the Committee. |
